MOORHEAD — Concordia used a 30-point second quarter to fuel a 78-63 victory over Minnesota-Morris in women's college basketball Friday night at Memorial Auditorium.
Emily Beseman led the Cobbers with 23 points, nine rebounds and seven assists, plus a game-high five 3-pointers off the bench. Autumn Thompson added 18 points on 6 of 11 shooting. Mary Sem added 14 points.
Concordia connected on 12 shots from beyond the arc, compared to just two from Morris, while the Cobbers out-rebounded the Cougars (0-1) 45-19.
Concordia (1-0) next plays a road game against Mayville State at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15.
