MOORHEAD — Minnesota Morris found a way past Concordia 86-82 in the men's college basketball opener for both teams Friday night at Memorial Auditorium.
Tommy Schyma led the Cobbers with 27 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Bryden Urie added 14 points, including four three-pointers. Camden Arndt added nine points and five rebounds off the bench.
Jaret Johnson scored 18 points off the bench to lead Morris (1-0), while the Cougars went 28 for 32 from the free throw line.
Concordia (0-1) faces Wisconsin-Superior at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12.
