MOORHEAD — The Spuds stayed hot with their victory over Alexandria on Thursday night, pushing their winning streak to eight games.
Drew Hagen led all scorers with 22 points for the Spuds. Brady Walthall poured in 15 points and Donnavin Hinsz had 13.
Erik Hedstrom scored 19 points for the Cardinals (16-6), who had won nine of their last 10 games entering Thursday.
Moorhead rose to 16-6 this season.
Battle Lake 84, Moorhead Park Christian 81 (OT)
MOORHEAD — Park Christian battled back from a 15-point deficit in the second half to force overtime, but Battle Lake held on for the win.
Tanner Brunsberg recorded 25 points and nine rebounds to lead the Falcons (8-14). Sam Senske scored 23 points off the bench and Jonah Williams added 18 points.
Brennan Amundson dropped a game-high 30 points for Battle Lake (7-11). Nick Van Erp chipped in 24 points.
Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 72, Staples-Motley 61
STAPLES, Minn. — The Rebels took down Staples-Motley for their third straight win.
D-G-F improved to 18-5 overall and has won eight of its last nine games. The Cardinals dropped to 4-17 overall.
Moorhead 68, Fergus Falls 59
FERGUS FALLS, Minn. — Moorhead handed the Otters girls basketball team just their third loss this season.
Sam Zimmerman posted 24 points and eight rebounds to lead the Spuds. Sam Hulst followed with 17 points, and Rylie Polomny finished with 14 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Ellie Colbeck’s game-high 35 points paced the Otters, while Carlie Meis chipped in nine points.
Moorhead rose to 15-7 overall, while Fergus dropped to 20-3.
Moorhead Park Christian 71, Ashby 41
ASHBY, Minn. — Karley Motschenbacher’s near triple-double helped Park Christian cruise past Ashby.
Motschenbacher totaled 16 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and seven steals to lead the Falcons. Mady Reimche posted a game-high 21 points, while Ashley Hansen recorded 13 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Kalista Aamot paced Ashby with 15 points, while Celi Nelson added eight.
Park Christian improved to 19-5 overall, while Ashby fell to 4-19 overall.
Devils Lake 65, Fargo North 23
DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — The Firebirds stifled North in Eastern Dakota Conference action to stay undefeated.
Jennie Sem and Grace Miller each scored six points for the Spartans (1-15, 1-14 EDC). Alex Egge and Julie Steiner each added five points.
Abby Johnson had 14 points to lead Devils Lake (17-0, 16-0). Karli Krogfoss added nine points.
