VALLEY CITY, N.D. — Davies breezed to an Eastern Dakota Conference win over Valley City on Friday.
The Eagles shot 43% from the field and hit eight 3-pointers. Ryleigh Wacha’s double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds led Davies. Brooklyn Koenig followed with 14 points, while Jenna Leingang chipped in 12.
Jadyn Dieterle paced Valley City with 13 points, and Lindsey Noeske finished with 12 points plus 11 rebounds.
Davies improved to 13-5 overall and 13-4 in the EDC. Valley City fell to 7-11 overall and 6-10 in the EDC.
Fargo Shanley 63, Fargo North 47
FARGO — Reile Payne’s double-double lifted Shanley over North in EDC action.
Payne finished with 23 points and 10 rebounds with four steals to pace the Deacons (14-3, 13-3 EDC). Moriku Hakim had a double-double of her own with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Hadley Huber tallied 10 points, four rebounds and four steals.
Jennie Sem finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, two steals and two blocks to lead the Spartans (1-16, 1-15). Grace Miller recorded 14 points and eight rebounds.
Grand Forks Red River 86, Fargo South 46
GRAND FORKS — Red River blew by South despite a scoring outburst from Adie Wagner.
Wagner led the Bruins with a game-high 29 points.
Shelby Frank and Jade Azure each tallied 14 points for Red River.
South dropped to 3-14 overall and 3-13 in the EDC. The Roughriders improved to 12-6 overall and 11-5 in the conference.
Detroit Lakes 69, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 63 2OT
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Detroit Lakes needed two extra periods to defeat D-G-F in Minnesota girls basketball.
Maria Watt posted 30 points to lead the Rebels, while Evelyn Moe followed with nine points.
Alex Bettcher’s 23 points paced the Lakers, while Sarah Tangen (14 points), Maddy Bowers (11) and Sophie Gunderson (11) all scored in double figures.
D-G-F fell to 7-16 overall, while Detroit Lakes improved to 12-11 overall.
