FARGO — Carson Henningsgard, a 6-foot-2 senior from Hillsboro-Central Valley, is the lone unanimous selection for this year’s North Dakota Class B all-state high school boys basketball team as voted on by the North Dakota Sportswriters and Sportcasters Association.

Henningsgard averaged 22.2 points per game, 4.6 rebounds, 3 steals and 6.5 assists.

Others named to the all-state first team are:

Jaden Mitzel, a 6-2 senior from Bismarck Shiloh Christian who averaged 25 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

Cole Myers, a 6-3 senior from Richland who averaged 22.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals.

Seth Nelson, a 6-4 senior from Carrington, who averaged 23.9 points, 11.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals and 3.1 blocks.

Jaden Hamilton, a 6-7 senior from Rugby, who averaged 20.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2.3 steals.

Named to the all-state second team are:

Bo Belquist, a 6-foot senior from New Rockford-Sheyenne; Lucas Schumacher, a 6-2 junior from Linton-HMB; Joe Hurlburt, a 6-10 sophomore from Enderlin; Gage Swanson, a 6-3 senior from Beach; Jesse White, a 5-11 junior from White Shield; Doug Yankton, a 6-4 senior from Four Winds-Minnewaukan; Trey Brandt, a 6-foot sophomore from Beulah; Avery Thorsgard, a 6-2 senior from Hatton-Northwood; Scott Wagner, a 6-7 sophomore from Ellendale; Andy Freier, a 6-3 senior from Kindred and Rhett Hanson, a 6-6 senior from Stanley.
