LANCASTER, MN--A touching moment on the basketball court.
Tuesday night's game between Kittson County Central and May-Port CG was a blowout - the Bearcats easily defending their den.
But the w on the scoreboard was nothing compared to the w by the Bearcats love on the court.
With about 30 seconds left and the May-Port CG Patriots down 28 - they bring in their secret weapon off the bench - number 42 - senior Dante Agnes.
He misses his first shot from behind the arc - but his teammates crash the boards and kick it back out. The teen with down syndrome launches another one - just missing again.
But the quick handed baller keeps stealing the ball as the Bearcats try to push it up court.
Agnes delivered - nothing but net.
Matt Henson spoke with Dante's mom on Tuesday. She tells us her son has always had a love for the game of basketball - even participating in the Special Olympics.
Until this year - the school has allowed him to be a member of the JV team.
This season - he finally made the varsity squad and has seen some action.
This is not his first basket. His mom says he actually made a shot from close to half court last season on the JV team.
Unfortunately - the cameras weren't rolling.
