FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Purdue Fort Wayne scored nearly half its total points in the fourth quarter, as the Mastodons topped North Dakota State 66-46 Saturday afternoon in Summit League women's basketball at Gates Sports Center.
The Mastodons (7-21, 3-13) outscored NDSU 30-14 in the fourth quarter. Sh'Toya Sanders led the way with 22 points, seven rebounds and seven steals. Purdue Fort Wayne committed nine turnovers to NDSU's 19. The Mastodons shot 52 percent (26 of 50) from the field, while the Bison shot 36.7 percent (18 of 49).
Rylee Nudell led the Bison with 14 points. Michelle Gaislerova added 12 points and six rebounds. Gaislerova moved into sole possession of third in school history with 74 made 3-pointers on the season.
NDSU (7-21, 4-12) entered the game locked into the No. 7 seed in the Summit League tournament. The Bison will play No. 2 seed South Dakota at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9 in Sioux Falls.
