MAYVILLE, N.D. — Three finalists have been chosen for the North Dakota Miss Basketball award.

Seniors Lilly Keplin from Bismarck Century, West Fargo Sheyenne's Maggie Manson and Mandan’s Megan Zander have been nominated by the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. The award will be announced after the Class A girls state championship game on Saturday, March 9, at the Bismarck Event Center.

Keplin, a first team all-state player last season, helped lead Century to the West Region title. Her 21 points per game placed her at the top of the WDA in the regular season. She also recorded six rebounds and two assists per game.

Manson, the all-time leading scorer at Sheyenne, was named East Region senior athlete of the year. Named an all-state first team player last year, she averaged 15.3 points, 2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and two steals per game.

Zander averaged 19.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, and three steals. The East Region senior athlete of the year is a two-time first team all-state honoree.
