Bass gets key hit as Winnipeg defeats RedHawks

WINNIPEG, Man. - Justin Bass' two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning put the Winnipeg Goldeyes ahead for good in a 7-4 victory against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on Wednesday in American Association baseball.

Chris Salamida got the win for Winnipeg, allowing three runs on six hits in six innings. He struck out seven.

C.J. Retherford had three of F-M's seven hits, getting two doubles and scoring two runs. Carlo Cota drove in three runs.
