Bison edge Oakland to earn weekend softball sweep

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - North Dakota State University's Elisa Victa batted 2-for-4 and tallied one RBI to pace the Bison to a 2-1 victory over Oakland on Saturday in college softball.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - North Dakota State University's Elisa Victa batted 2-for-4 and tallied one RBI to pace the Bison to a 2-1 victory over Oakland on Saturday in college softball.

Starting pitcher Whitney Johnson threw seven innings for the Bison, giving up one run on five hits while collecting nine strikeouts.

With the win, Bison head coach Darren Mueller tied Mitch Hanson on the school's all-time victory list with 339 wins.

The win gave NDSU a three-game weekend sweep over Oakland.
