At 6 feet and an explosive 198 pounds, CoCo Cofield looks like a football player in a basketball uniform. That, in fact, could change.
Cofield said he's considering playing spring football for North Dakota State after his Bison basketball eligibility expires this season. He said Bison football coaches have consistently been throwing the idea at him.
"I told them that's probably a good thing, but that I don't know right now," Cofield said. "I might try it. Might."
Cofield was a starting wide receiver and backup quarterback as a freshman and sophomore at Tri-Cities High School in East Point, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta.
A move to a non-football playing high school for his junior and season seasons, however, forced him to give up the game.

He said he would be a receiver or defensive back if he gave NDSU football a shot.
"Wherever they need me," he said.
