FARGO — North Dakota State will play host to Southern Illinois in the second round of the NCAA Division I FCS playoffs after the Salukis defeated South Dakota 22-10 on Saturday, Nov. 27, in Vermillion, S.D.

The Bison and Salukis square off at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.

In the matchup of two Missouri Valley Football Conference foes, Southern Illinois' Nic Baker hit 21 of 30 throws for 210 yards and a touchdown, Romeir Elliott ran for a score and Nico Gualdoni kicked three field goals, including a 50-yarder and a 41-yarder.
