The postseason returns to Fargo for a 13th straight season as North Dakota State will open the FCS Playoffs Saturday against the University of Montana.

The Griz snuck into the postseason, as the last team in the 24-team field and then fell behind 24-3 to Southeast Missouri State in the third quarter last week. Montana scored two special teams touchdowns in the third quarter to spark a 31 point rally and a 34-24 Grizzlies win.

NDSU enters the playoffs with a 9-2 record, having won 38 straight games off a bye week. The last time these teams played was in the 2015 postseason, a 37-6 NDSU win. The Bison had two pick sixes in the game in a rematch after NDSU lost the season opener in Missoula that August.
