College baseball: Bison tripped up at Houston Christian

NDSU rallied late to tie the game but lost to the Huskies on a sacrifice fly on Sunday.

HOUSTON, Texas — Parker Edwards' sacrifice fly in the eighth inning brought home the go-ahead run and Houston Christian defeated North Dakota State 6-5 on Sunday at Husky Field.

The Bison trailed 5-2 after seven innings but rallied with three runs in the top of the eighth to tie it. Peter Brookshaw hit a two-run home run and Carson Hake tied it with an RBI double.

Brookshaw was 3 for 5 with the two RBI, Cadyn Schwabe had two hits and drove in a run. Jack Steil and Druw Sackett both had two hits.

The Bison fell to 3-17 overall. They open Summit League play at Omaha on May 24-26.
