College baseball: Bison win in a romp at Northern Colorado

Tristen Roehrich made a strong start and nine Bison players drove in runs in a victory over the Bears on Saturday.

GREELEY, Colo. — The North Dakota State baseball team's Tristen Roehrich made a strong start and the Bison scored runs in every inning to down Northern Colorado 18-3 in seven innings in a Summit League game on Saturday at Jackson Field.

The Bison had 14 hits and nine players drove in runs. Davis Hamilton was 2 for 3 and drove in three runs and Cadyn Schwabe tripled and had three RBI.

Stephen Lund had two hits and drove in two runs, James Dunlap had two hits and an RBI, Peter Brookshaw had a hit and two RBI, Terrell Huggins had two hits and Dallan Quigley, Jack Steil and Garret Hill all had hits and drove in runs.

Roehrich worked six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and a walk while striking out two.

The Bison are 12-5 in the Summit League and 18-26 overall. They go for the sweep in a third and final game against the Bears at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 7.
