Former Bison Ward signs another pro contract

Ex-NDSU standout set to play in Germany's top league.

FARGO — Tyson Ward's professional basketball career is heading toward a second season. The former North Dakota State standout signed with the Telekom Baskets Bonn in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL), Germany's top division.

Ward averaged 9.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.1 steals per game as a rookie last season playing for Oliver Wurzburg in the same league. Ward played for NDSU from 2016-20, becoming the only player in school history with more than 1,500 points, 700 rebounds and 250 assists in his career.
