How to watch Bison football on WDAY this fall
WDAY will broadcast nine Bison football games this season
North Dakota State begins its 127th year of football Saturday afternoon at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome and WDAY-TV will be bringing those games to viewers once again.
WDAY is the exclusive television home of North Dakota State athletics for the second straight season, and this year will broadcast nine football games.
WDAY's coverage will begin each Saturday at 10 am with Bison Gameday, a one hour pregame show. That airs live on ABC affiliates throughout the state, which includes WDAY, WDAZ, KBMY and KMCY. The show also live streams at Inforum.com.
The game coverage begins at 2:20 pm for Bison home games, which will show NDSU's famous tunnel walk and entrance to the field.
WDAY will broadcast the first two home games of the season against Drake and North Carolina A&T, with each broadcast beginning at 2:20pm.
The first conference road game for NDSU is in Vermillion, South Dakota, against the University of South Dakota on September 24th. That game will kickoff at 1pm.
The following week NDSU returns home for its annual homecoming game. Youngstown State is the opponent, and that game has an early kickoff of 1pm.
WDAY will be at Indiana State for a noon kickoff in Terre Haute on October 8th and then returns to the Fargodome for a 2:30 broadcast in the Dakota Marker Game against South Dakota State.
The back half of the schedule has Illinois State in Fargo on October 29th at 2:30. That will be followed by a matchup in Carbondale, Illinois for a 1pm kickoff against Southern Illinois.
The final game of the regular season has NDSU hosting the University of North Dakota with a 2:30 pm kickoff.
There are a pair of games that will not be on WDAY-TV because of exclusive contracts.
The first is September 17th at Arizona. That kickoff against the Wildcats will be a 10pm kickoff exclusive on Fox Sports 1. FS1 and the PAC-12 have the rights to air that game and that's where the game will be found.
On November 5th, NDSU travles to Macomb, Illinois to take on Western Illinois. That matchup has been selected as the Missouri Valley Football Conference Game of the Week which is an exclusive streaming broadcast on ESPN Plus, which WDAY cannot air.
In total, WDAY will broadcast nine Bison football games this fall, with two airing on alternate channels.
