VERMILLION, S.D. — North Dakota State fullback Hunter Luepke rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bison to a 34-17 victory Saturday against the University of South Dakota in the Missouri Valley Football Conference opener for both teams at the DakotaDome. The game was played before 6,530 fans.

The Bison (3-1, 1-0 MVFC) rebounded from a 31-28 loss at the University of Arizona last weekend.

South Dakota took a 17-10 lead into halftime after scoring 14 points in the final minute of the second quarter.

NDSU scored touchdowns on its first two drives of the second half to surge into the lead for good.
