FARGO — North Dakota State scored three rushing touchdowns in the first half to build an 18-point halftime lead against the Youngstown State Penguins on Saturday before 18,055 fans at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.

That strong start sparked the top-ranked Bison to a 27-14 victory in Missouri Valley Football Conference play.

NDSU (4-1, 2-0 MVFC) remained unbeaten in conference play.

“A lot of positives coming out of this," said Bison head coach Matt Entz.
