Women's basketball: Bison roll by Dickinson State

Six Bison scored double-digit points, led by Heaven Hamling's 22.


FARGO — North Dakota State breezed by Dickinson State 95-42 on Tuesday night in nonconference women's basketball at Scheels Center at Sanford Health Athletic Complex.

Six Bison scored double-digit points, led by Heaven Hamling's 22 on 8-of-10 shooting in 22 minutes. Kylie Strop came off the bench and scored 17 points with six assists. Ryan Cobbins scored 12 points. Kadie Deaton added an efficient 12 points with eight rebounds and three blocks off the bench. Deaton went 2 for 3 from the field and 8 of 10 from the free-throw line. Katie Hildebrandt and Emily Behnke each poured in 10 points.

The Bison led 50-26 at halftime. NDSU forced 29 Dickinson State turnovers while committing 14.

McKenzie Johnson paced Dickinson State with 13 points.

The Bison (2-3) snapped a three-game skid. NDSU next plays at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Kansas State.
