College volleyball: Bison fall at SDSU and into third in Summit standings
After a big win over league-leading South Dakota on Thursday, North Dakota State was swept by the Jackrabbits on Saturday to end the regular season.
BROOKINGS, S.D. — North Dakota State came off a big win at South Dakota with a 25-23, 25-23, 26-24 loss to South Dakota State in the final Summit League regular season match Saturday at Frost Arena.
South Dakota finished first in the league standings at 15-2. Omaha was second at 14-4, the Bison were 13-5 and Denver placed fourth at 12-6. The Summit League Championship is Nov. 24-26 in Omaha, Neb.
On Saturday, NDSU's Michelle Glover finished with 16 kills and a block, and Ali Hinze had 13 kills, served an ace and had two blocks. Syra Tanchin had 11 kills and 11 digs.
Setter Kelley Johnson had 39 assists and an ace serve, and Logan O'Brien had 13 digs and served an ace.
The Bison finished the regular season 20-10 overall.
