Women's golf: Bison wrap up season with third-place finish at Summit championships

NDSU earned its highest finish since 2018 following Tuesday's final round of the league championship.

LINCOLN, Neb. — The North Dakota State women’s golf team earned its highest finish at the Summit League Championship since 2018, placing third on Tuesday at Wilderness Ridge Golf Course.

The Bison put together rounds of 293, 288 and 291 for a three-round total of 872 to finish in third place in the nine-team tournament. The 54-hole total of 872 ranks tied for the lowest total in NDSU history.

Denver (286-292-274—852) finished on top the leaderboard, posting a 10-under on the final day. South Dakota (293-289-286—868) was second.

NDSU's Catherine Monty fired a career-low 54-hole total of 217 to finish tied for fifth place. Elise Hoven notched a career-low 54-hole score of 219 to finish tied for ninth place, and Madi Hicks finished at 219 to also tie for ninth place.
