Women's golf: NDSU tied for 12th after first day of Hobble Creek Classic

The Bison are tied with Lamar and Boise State leads by 11 shots after the first two rounds of the tournament were played Monday in Utah.

SPRINGVILLE, Utah — North Dakota State is tied for 12th after the first two rounds of the 18-team Hobble Creek Classic were played Monday at Hobble Creek Golf Course.

The Bison are tied with Lamar at 56-over par. Boise State leads at 24-over, 11 shots ahead of Portland State.

Catherine Monty led the Bison with a 79 and a 75, good for a tie for 33rd. Leah Skaar shot 81 and 74 and is tied for 40th. Cal Riverside's Tiffany Le and Weber State's Jessica Zelasko are tied for the lead at 1-over par.

The third and final round of the Classic is Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Hobble Creek.
