Bison men's basketball team picked to finish second in Summit League

ELMHURST, Ill.-North Dakota State's men's basketball team, last year's Summit League tournament champions, have been picked to finish second in the league according to a preseason poll of league coaches, sports information directors and media.

ELMHURST, Ill.-North Dakota State's men's basketball team, last year's Summit League tournament champions, have been picked to finish second in the league according to a preseason poll of league coaches, sports information directors and media.

South Dakota is picked to finish first with 30 first-place votes followed by NDSU (3 first-place votes), Oral Roberts (one first-place vote), Fort Wayne, South Dakota, IUPUI, Omaha, Denver and Western Illinois.

NDSU sophomore guard A.J. Jacobson, a Fargo Shanley High School graduate, is a first-team All-Summit League pick. Teammates Kory Brown, a senior guard, and Dexter Werner, a junior forward, are second-team All-Summit League picks.

Obi Emegano of Oral Roberts is the preseason player of the year pick.
