LONG BEACH, Calif.-North Dakota State senior Morgan Milbrath ran career-best time of 53.22 seconds in the women's 400 meters Saturday, April 15, at the Beach Invitational track meet.
Milbrath finished third in the 400 behind two professionals, clocking the second-fastest time in NDSU history and a top 25 performance in the NCAA this year.
Milbrath, Alexis Woods, Amy Andrushko and Rose Jackson won the 1,600 relay in a meet record time of 3:36.25, the sixth-fastest time in program history.
On the men's side, senior Alex Renner won the shot put with a toss of 62 feet, 5 inches (19.02 meters), coming within seven inches of the school record. Later in the day, Renner went to the Mt. SAC Relays and earned second place with the same distance of 62-5.
Aron Klos, Jacob Richter, Byrne Curl and Landon Jochim won the men's 1,600 relay in a time of 3:14.53 at the Beach Invitational.
