Blues bounce back to split

Alexandria edged Moorhead in the opener, but the Blues answered with 14 runs in the nightcap to split a doubleheader in American Legion baseball Tuesday. Alexandria won 8-7 before losing 14-4.

Alexandria edged Moorhead in the opener, but the Blues answered with 14 runs in the nightcap to split a doubleheader in American Legion baseball Tuesday. Alexandria won 8-7 before losing 14-4.

Jake Krause homered for the Blues in the opener. Chad Dahl was 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.

Ryan Krause hit his fourth homer of the season in the nightcap for Moorhead while Justin Pieterick was 2-for-2 with a pair of walks.

The Blues (25-14) face Perham in a doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. today.
