BISMARCK - Bismarck Bobcats head coach Dane Litke has resigned, after a disagreement with the owner of the North American Hockey League team.

Litke, a former University of North Dakota standout who became the Bobcats head coach in May 2005, said anoff-ice incident with players breaking team rules led to the disagreement with owner Thom Brigl.

"It was a situation that happened where I felt one way and Thom felt another way about it," Litke said. "I just don't think it was right, and I thought it was best that I resigned.

"There was no shouting or yelling," he said. "I just said that it was time for me to go, and Thom agreed."
