Having a little brother might not be such a bad thing.

Just ask Shanley forward Cam Hager. The Deacons junior sped past the West Fargo defense and had his shot stopped by the post.

That's when his little brother, Conrad, scored off the rebound for his first of two goals en route to Shanley picking up a 3-0 win against West Fargo on Tuesday.

"I took a shot and it went off the post," Cam Hager said. "I was happy to see Conrad follow the ball and put it in."

Conrad Hager's two-goal performance did a number of things for Shanley.

For starters, Shanley has a 5-0-0 record in EDC play was good enough for first place.

It also kept up Shanley's undefeated season. The Deacons are 6-0-1.

West Fargo, which fell to

4-2-2, is 4-2 in EDC play. That is good enough for second place heading into the second half of conference play.

The goals also started a little Hager family streak.

Cam Hager scored two goals in Shanley's 8-1 win last Friday against Detroit Lakes.

"It was for sure Cam's goal," Conrad Hager said of the 57th minute strike.

There was no denying the second goal was all Conrad.

Midfielder Shane DuBord played a deep pass to Conrad Hager.

Conrad Hager made a turn on the defender and scored on a chip shot from 25 yards out for a 2-0 lead in the 67th minute.

"I don't know what was going through my mind on that one," Conrad Hager said.

The knockout punch was delivered two minutes later.

Shanley's Mike Dancer sent in a corner kick that was headed in by AJ Jacobson for a 3-0 lead.

It was Dancer's third assist in two games.

The goal did more than pad Dancer's stats.

Jacobson's goal sealed the victory as Michael Breker replaced his starters by emptying his bench.

West Fargo coach Doug Millar said he was pleased with his team's effort until the first goal.

"It took confidence to make that pass and Shanley did a good job of anticipating it," Millar said. "Then a few goofy things later, it's

3-0. We lost."
