MAYVILLE, N.D. - Mayville-Portland-Clifford-Galesburg's upset hopes came up one big play short.
In a tight game late in the fourth quarter, Lisbon's Dillon Bishop forced Ethan Kyllo to fumble and Broncos lineman Jordan Stenson recovered to seal Lisbon's 20-14 win over the Patriots on Saturday afternoon in a state Class A high school football quarterfinal game.
The Broncos, who last won a state championship in 1992, play at Linton/H-M-B in Saturday's semifinals.
Despite a 20-7 lead midway through the fourth quarter, the Broncos had to hang on late to beat May-Port-C-G for the second time this year.
