The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks promoted Josh Buchholz to general manager, the Northern League club announced Monday.
Buchholz takes over for Lee Schwartz, who resigned last month.
Buchholz served as the team's director of baseball operations the past six seasons. He has been with the RedHawks in some capacity since they joined the league in 1996.
"I'm excited for this new challenge," Buchholz said. "Lee left a great front office staff in place that has a lot of experience in minor league baseball."
A Moorhead native, Buchholz graduated from Moorhead High School and Concordia College.

"Josh has been one of the best in the Northern League on the baseball operations end of the business," RedHawks owner Bruce Thom said.
