GLYNDON — There will be no racing this summer at Buffalo River Race Park.

Track general manager Kevin Nathe announced Wednesday night, April 8, that all 2020 race events have been canceled due to the coronavirus.

The Corn Cob National, scheduled for Sept. 5-6, is still set to go, but it is the only event still on the calendar.

"We realized it was to our and our community’s best interest to minimize our events and turn our focus to explore other family-friendly businesses that may suit the property and our community better alongside a slimmed-down race schedule," Nathe said in a statement.

Buffalo River becomes the first local track to wipe out the entire racing schedule.
