GRAND FORKS - Although Weston Dressler's second season with the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders was cut short because of a fractured fibula, the team had seen enough to want to lock up the speedy wide receiver for the future.
The former UND standout, who was known as Mr. Electricity when in Grand Forks, has signed a contract extension with the Roughriders, the team announced Thursday.
Financial details of the signing were not released.
"Having that security and knowing where I'll be is good to know," Dressler said.
Dressler originally signed with Saskatchewan as a free agent in May 2008. In 29 regular-season games, he has tallied 118 receptions for 2,069 yards and 10 touchdowns.
