Canaries beat RedHawks in final game of season

FARGO--In their final game of the American Association Baseball season, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks lost to the Sioux Falls Canaries 7-1 at Newman Outdoor Field, with 3,388 in attendance.

FARGO-In their final game of the American Association Baseball season, the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks lost to the Sioux Falls Canaries 7-1 at Newman Outdoor Field, with 3,388 in attendance.

RedHawks pitcher Trey McNutt had 108 pitches and 75 strikes, striking out 12 batters in 7.1 innings. Maikol Gonzalez scored the team's only run in the fifth inning.

The Canaries' first run was also in the fifth, by Maxx Garrett. They followed in the sixth inning with four runs and another two runs in the ninth.

The RedHawks fell to 51-49, putting them in third place in the North Division. The Canaries rose to 40-60, ending their season in last place in the North Division.
