Cobbers' Johnson earns All-American honors

Concordia catcher Kyle Johnson has been named the NCAA Division III Midwest Region baseball player of the year and also earned third team All-American honors.

Concordia catcher Kyle Johnson has been named the NCAA Division III Midwest Region baseball player of the year and also earned third team All-American honors.

Cobbers first baseman Scott Schumacher was named to the All-Midwest Region second team. Johnson was an All-Midwest first-team selection.

Johnson batted .404 with 14 home runs and 36 RBIs in 33 games. He set the school record for home runs in a season.

Schumacher batted .423 with five home runs and 28 RBIs in 32 games.
