ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Concordia tallied three goals in the third period to take down Saint John's 4-2 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey Saturday night at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center.
Aaron Herdt assisted Christian Cakebread, who scored in the second period for the Cobbers to tie the game at one. Tyler Bossert and Tanner Okeson added goals in the third, before SJU's Troy Dobbs made it a 3-2 game. With seven seconds left, Joe Burgmeier put the game out of reach with an empty-net goal.
Concordia outshot the Johnnies (2-2-2, 1-1-1 MIAC) 38-26, while Jacob Stephan recorded 24 saves.
The Cobbers (3-5, 1-2) conclude their two-game series against SJU at 2 p.m. Sunday.
