Cobbers roll to 54-7 football win at Augsburg

MINNEAPOLIS--Concordia rolled up 433 rushing yards to claim a 54-7 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football opening win at Augsburg Saturday.

MINNEAPOLIS-Concordia rolled up 433 rushing yards to claim a 54-7 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football opening win at Augsburg Saturday.

Rylie Sheridan carried the ball seven times for 134 yards and two touchdowns. Dane Ringquist had seven carriers for 128 yards and two touchdowns-including a 72-yard scoring run.

Concordia, which improves to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference, limited Augsburg to 200 total yards. Noah Welsh had seven total tackles with two sacks for the Cobber defense while Sam Michel and Will Berning each had six total tackles.

Concordia quarterback Blake Kragnes completed 3-of-7 passes for 40 yards and one touchdown.
