Cobbers roll to wrestling dual win over Dragons

Concordia's Tyler Bents (157 pounds) and Gabriel Zierden (197 pounds) each earned a victory by pin.

MOORHEAD — Concordia took down crosstown rival Minnesota State Moorhead 31-6 in a nonconference wrestling dual on Wednesday at Concordia's Memorial Auditorium.

Concordia's Tyler Bents (157 pounds) and Gabriel Zierden (197 pounds) each earned a victory by pin. The Cobbers' Kellen Schauer had a 15-1 major decision win over Mason Schulz at 149 pounds.

The Dragons got a win at 141 pounds from Gunnar Mogen's 8-2 decision over Jacob Prunty. MSUM's Jake Erckenbrack notched a 7-3 decision over Austin Ratliff at 285 pounds.

Concordia's next contest is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday at the Augsburg Invite.

MSUM is off until Dec. 5 when it hosts the Dragon Open.
