WINONA, Minn. — Concordia scored two goals in the third period to down Winona St. Mary's 3-1 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women's hockey Saturday.
After a goal from St. Mary's, Ally Wiitala knotted it up at one before the end of the first period. Maiah McCowan and Callie Fagerstrom added a pair of goals in the final period to pull away from the Cardinals.
Kiana Flaig totaled 22 saves to complete the near shutout for the Cobbers, while Concordia outshot Saint Mary's 29-23.
The Cobbers (3-2) host St. Benedict at 7 p.m. Friday.
