MARSHALL, Minn. - Minnesota State Moorhead was swept for the second consecutive day dropping two games to Southwest Minnesota State 7-2 and 6-4 on Monday in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference softball.
Southwest Minnesota State jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in Game 1 and held on for the win.
In Game 2, the Dragons were down 3-0 after two innings, but tied the game 3-3 in the top of the third and took a 4-3 lead with a run in the fourth. However, Southwest Minnesota State regained the lead with a three-run sixth inning to complete the sweep.
Desi DeMarco and Betsy Dickson each homered for the Dragons (5-35, 3-17 NSIC) in Game 2.
