MOORHEAD — Minnesota State Moorhead announced the latest additions to its football program, Wednesday, Feb. 3, during national signing day.

The Dragons signed 29 players, including two preferred walk-ons, with a strong Fargo-Moorhead flavor. Moorhead Spuds defensive end Thomas Myers, West Fargo Packers wide receiver Carter Birrenkott and Fargo Davies running back Ethan Entze are among the signings. Entze is expected to move to wide receiver for the Dragons.

The Dragons also added West Fargo Sheyenne defensive lineman Abe Hestdalen and Fargo North linebacker Jacob Brosius.

MSUM is coming off a 6-5 season in 2019 and the team didn't play this past fall due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Dragons are projected to have around 110 players on its roster for next fall, said head coach Steve Laqua.
