MINNEAPOLIS — Augsburg goalie Mara McClain stopped 23 shots and the Eagles had three different goal scorers in a 3-0 win over Concordia on Saturday at Ed Saugestad Rink.
Two goals late in the first period made the difference. Augsburg's Sydney Rydel scored on the power play on assists from Emily Crockhite and Payton Allen at 14:32, and less than a minute later, at 15:23, Lilia Scheid made it 2-0 on assists from Kennedy Stein and Katie Flynn. Allen got her second assist of the game setting up Carleigh Drill's goal at 10:55 of the second period.
Concordia goalie Kiana Flaig had 32 saves.
The Cobbers fell to 2-4 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Association and 5-4 overall. They play host to Wisconsin-Eau Claire for two games at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10 and 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 11.
