Cobbers senior Josie Herrmann places 13th at Division III track championships; Cayle Hovland finishes 16th

Herrmann and Hovland will each compete on Friday in different events

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Concordia senior Josie Herrmann tallied a 13th-place finish in the 1,500 meters on Thursday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Irwin Belk Track.

Herrmann finished the race in 4 minutes, 39.22 seconds. She missed the cut for the event finals and will compete in the 800 preliminaries at 3 p.m. Friday.

Cobbers junior Cayle Hovland had a heave of 126 feet, 10 inches in the discus to finish 16th. She'll compete in the shot put at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
