MOORHEAD — Carleton needed eight innings in the first game but came through with a sweep of a doubleheader against Concordia on Sunday.
The Knights defeated the Cobbers 6-4 in eight innings in game one and followed with a 13-3 victory in five innings in the second game.
In the first game, the teams were tied 2-2 after the Knights kept the game alive with a run in the top of the seventh. Carleton then scored four in the top of the eighth and Concordia couldn't rally all the way back.
Concordia's Karissa Finnigan was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI and Emma Redlin also doubled and drove in two runs.
In the second game, the Knights led 6-3 after four innings but put the game away with seven runs in the fifth inning.

Concordia's Drew Syverson singled and drove in two runs and Redlin was 2 for 3. Lauren Staples singled and had an RBI.
The Cobbers are 1-18 in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 5-30 overall. They wrap up the regular season hosting St. Mary's in a conference doubleheader at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 2.
