MOORHEAD — Concordia won 3-2 and 11-5 in a doubleheader sweep of Macalester in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball Saturday.
In the first game, the Cobbers broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the sixth inning when Landry Maragos singled to left field, with Kenzie Leither scoring the game-winning run. Both Maragos and Leither registered two hits.
A six-run third inning propelled Concordia in Game 2. Kate Wensloff, Taylor Erholtz and Drew Syverson all cracked two hits for the home team. Tori Herrboldt got the win on the mound for the Cobbers, allowing five runs off 12 hits through five innings.
Concordia (16-12, 4-6 MIAC) hits the road to take on Gustavus for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday.
