College softball: St. Olaf takes two from Concordia on Saturday

The Cobbers doubleheader against Bethel scheduled for Sunday has been postponed and will be played on Monday in Moorhead.

MOORHEAD — Concordia is still seeking its first home win of the season and St. Olaf defeated the Cobbers 8-2 and 13-1 in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader on Saturday at Jake Christiansen Stadium.

The Cobbers are 0-4 in the MIAC and at home, and they are 6-12 overall. Their Sunday home doubleheader against Bethel has been postponed until Monday, April 11. Game times are 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

In Game 1, St. Olaf's Jaelyn Orth went the distance, allowing one earned run on one hit while striking out 14. Kenzie Leither had Concordia's only hit and scored a run, Emma Redlin had an RBI.

Game 2 wrapped up in five innings. Aubrey Bjella doubled in Lexi Burke in the bottom of the fifth for the Cobbers' lone run.
