Tuesday night completed one of the greatest falls in the city of Jamestown's sports history.
The University of Jamestown volleyball team brought home the first national championship for the school in any sport, led by LaMoure's Anna Holen, one of the greatest winner in this state's history.
It began four months ago when the Jimmie football team snapped a four year drought in the Paint Bucket Game beating arch rival Valley City State in overtime.
It was just the second win in the last 12 meeting with the Vikings.
It continued last month inside the Fargodome. Bill Nelson's Jamestown football team won a second straight Class A football title blasting Fargo North. The Blue Jays have posted a 22-4 record over the last two seasons and have become one of the power programs in the state.

Quietly last month, Jamestown's own Mason Walters became the Jimmies all-time points leader in school history.
All the big man has done is led his high school team to an undefeated state championship followed up by bringing Jamestown to the Elite 8 for the first time, all the while being a first team All-American and a hero in his hometown for a lifetime.
That brings us to last night. Jon Hegerle's team has made it to the national tournament before.
But this team who he thought may finish fifth in the conference this season shook off back to back two sets to one deficits in the semis and title to bring home a state title.
The Buffalo City should enjoy this.
Hard to imagine a better stretch than this.
