Men's golf: Cobbers finish eighth at Twin Cities Classic

Concordia wrapped up the three-day tournament on Monday at the Edina Country Club.

EDINA, Minn. — Concordia finished eighth in the three-day Twin Cities Classic that concluded Monday at the Edina Country Club.

The Cobbers finished at 947. St. John's won at 886, Carleton was second at 926 and Augsburg and Luther tied for third at 927. Gustavus was fifth at 928.

Concordia's Gabe Benson tied for 14th at 230 and Justin Lamp tied for 29th at 237. St. John's Sam Berger won with a three-day total of 2-under 214, two shots better than Johnnies teammate Blake Schuler's 216.

The Cobbers play next at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships Oct. 1-3 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in Coon Rapids, Minn.
