Men's golf: Cobbers in seventh after Sunday's second round of Twin Cities Classic

Concordia has three golfers in the top 25 heading into Monday's final round of the 18-team tournament.

RAMSEY, Minn. — Concordia is in seventh place heading into Monday's third and final round of the Gustavus Twin Cities Classic.

The Cobbers shot 319 on Sunday at The Links at Northfork and their two-round 623 is three shots back of Luther and Gustavus, which are tied for fifth. St. John's is well clear of the field at 585, 26 shots ahead of second-place Augsburg, 29 shots ahead of third-place University of Manitoba and 30 shots ahead of fourth-place Carleton.

The Cobbers' Gabe Benson shot 78 on Sunday and is tied with two other golfers for 16th at 153. Teammate Justin Lamp is tied for 23rd at 155 and Landon Olson is tied for 25th at 156. St. John's teammates Sam Berger and Blake Schuler are tied for the lead at 1-under 143.

The Classic's third and final round tees off at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at the Edina Country Club.
