Men's hockey: Augsburg downs Cobbers

MOORHEAD — Augsburg topped Concordia 3-1 Friday night in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's hockey at Moorhead Sports Center.

Keaton Leininger scored with 18 seconds left in the third period for the Cobbers. Parker Simonson and Tanner Breidenbach assisted on the goal.

Cobbers goalie Jackson Nelson tallied 18 saves.

Concordia (4-4-2, 2-2-1 MIAC) and Augsburg (7-0, 3-0) are scheduled to conclude the two-game series at 2 p.m. Saturday at Moorhead Sports Center.
