Men's soccer: Late goals push Augsburg past Cobbers

MINNEAPOLIS — Concordia held Augsburg scoreless for nearly 73 minutes, but the Auggies scored two late goals to clinch a 2-1 win over the Cobbers on Saturday in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at Edor Nelson Field.

Telvin Vah gave Concordia a 1-0 lead in the first half, scoring at the 28 minutes, 56 seconds mark on an assist from Yonas Adams. Vah led the Cobbers with six shots with two shots on goal.

Cobbers goalie Erick Torres tallied five saves.

Nick Zuchowski scored for Augsburg at the 72:46 mark to tie it, then Tomas Menna put Augsburg ahead with a goal at 82:34.

The Cobbers (4-8, 2-4 MIAC) are scheduled to play at nonconference Finlandia at 2 p.m. Sunday.
